Meet The Team

Your mental health is not separate from your physical health — and anyone who pretends they exist in silos is missing half the story. As a double board-certified Nurse Practitioner in Family and Psychiatric-Mental Health, I bring a full-body, whole-brain approach to care. Because healing isn’t just about managing symptoms — it’s about understanding you as a complete, complex, and worthy human being. Whether you’re facing a full-blown crisis or just feel like you're slipping further from the version of yourself you want to be, I’m here to help you make sense of it all and build something steadier. At Mindsett, I partner with children (8+), teens, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, mood disorders, postpartum struggles, ADHD, and more. I blend integrative care with evidence-based psychiatric treatment — which might include medication, mindfulness tools, hormone education, lifestyle shifts, or referrals to other trusted professionals. No two clients are the same, so no two treatment plans should be either. I’ve spent nearly a decade as a Family Nurse Practitioner, helping patients manage chronic illness, navigate major life transitions, and get back in touch with their health from the inside out. That background makes me extra attuned to how the brain and body talk to each other — and why we have to listen to both. My path started in hospital medicine — with experience in the Neonatal ICU, Burn ICU, and Oncology. I earned my Associate Degree in Nursing in Nashville, then completed my Master’s in Nursing (FNP) at Tennessee State University, graduating with honors. After years in primary care, I returned to school post-pandemic to pursue Psychiatry and Mental Health at Liberty University, graduating with honors again — and becoming double board-certified. Now? I’ve built Mindsett to offer the kind of care I believe we all deserve: personalized, empowering, whole-person healing that makes space for who you are and who you’re becoming.

My time spent as certified nurse midwife has taught me the importance of listening, allowing a safe space for individuals who have entrusted me with their care to share their concerns, struggles, hopes, and dreams. As a practicing midwife, I learned how hard it can be for an individual with mental health concerns to connect with a psychiatric provider. For this reason, I returned to school to become a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. In my role as a dual-certified certified nurse midwife and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. I incorporate the skills of listening, providing an environment of calmness and safety, to allow clients to share their feelings and concerns regarding their mental health, as well as in other areas of their lives. At times, medications may play a major role in treatment. The decision whether or not to start a medication should be made by the client after a discussion regarding the potential benefits, as well as risks associated with each medication, supporting the client through every step. It is my goal provide education and support to empower my clients to gain the necessary tools to live their best lives. My educational background includes a BSN from Liberty University in Lynchburg VA, MSN, Certified Nurse Midwife, from the University of Cincinnati, a post master’s certificate PMHNP from Liberty University, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Chatham University in Pittsburgh, PA.
